Dena Hill began designing and making her Suruchi bags in 1996.
|
At the height of her career, Dena left her corporate job, in search
of a simpler, more peaceful life. She wanted to use her creativity
and love of sewing in a way that would bring joy to her and others.
|
She purchased a yard of tapestry and made the first
bag. A friend convinced Dena to make one for her also and the rest
is history, as they say. |
Each bag is completely and individually
hand made in Fort Worth, Texas. It is our goal to provide you with
fashionable, though not trendy, bags of the highest quality and versatility.
Should your Suruchi bag ever become soiled, we recommend dry cleaning
only. |
| The name “Suruchi” is part
of a Hindu spiritual name, Atmo Suruchi, meaning “innermost
beautiful”. It fits the bags perfectly because of the popularity
of the inside pockets. |
